Old Age Pensioners Club

The ,,Életfa Old Age Pensioners’ Club” was founded in 1995. The number of club members: 45 people.

The Club is also member of the Country Old Age Pensioners’ Club, so they can take part in more programmes along with the other clubs, which is well-loved by the members.

The aim of the club:

• The alliance of the pensioners, which famrs a community
• Recreation from the eveyday housework
• Organizing of joint programmes, trips and theatrical performances
• Active and youthful life even in the retired work

The members of the Club meet every week. Programmes are organised according to the interest and claim of the members, along with the members. Members love singing, rhymes, and perform scenes written by themselves.

In the past 18 years we travelled a lot, we toured almost the whole country (Ópusztaszer, Keszthely, Esztergom, Hollókő, Szeged, etc.). We visited the remarkable places of the neighbouring countries (Castle of Krasznahorka, Castle of Betléri, Máriazell, Dobróruszka).

The County Old Age Pensioners’ Club also organize trips and holidays for the Clubs, where our members also take part (Transylvana tour, Black Sea holiday, Italy, etc.)

During our trips we also advertise Aldebrő with wine and postcards.

Each year the members enjoy themselves and often dance.

We often go to theatrical performances to Eger and Budapest.

We celebrate birthdays and name-days, 50 th and 60 th wedding anniversaries and Christmas. Each year we organize ,,Pótszilveszter” where the members have dinner, listen to good music, cabaret and the great atmosphere makes them forget about the greyness of everyday life.

Beside these, informative and educational lectures, conversations, product demonstrations also part of the programme.

Municipal and country leaders were our guests, who provided us with advantageous and current informations.

Members of the club from the ,,Vadvirág” chorus. They participate in municipal programmes and in the ,,Idősek Fesztiválja” where each year they perform cultural programmes. In the Chorus Festival of Kompolt they had huge success.

We also took part int he Country Sportday in Egerszólát, where we got acquainted with the sights of Egerszólát with the help of the ,,Tízezer lépés” programme.

Our club members won the 1st place on the ,,Derelyefesztivál” of Nagytálya.

In the past 18 years we managed to organize such programmes and gatherings where the younger pensioners joined the elders.
