The famous Debrői Hárslevelű is known today throughout the world. Favourable climate conditions allow people of flourishing wine-culture. Of course, you can taste the famous. Wine of Debrői in the local cellars.

It’s evolution is unknown, perhaps it’s kind of Hungarian origin.

According to the natural system: Convarietas pontica, subconvarietas talcania. People began to raise this in the 18 century. It’s greatest significance is in Hungary, but it’s more or less known and cultivated in the surrounding countries. In Hungary it’s a main kind of Tokaj-Hegyalja, but it’s rule is also important in the district of Debrő. You can also find it in Somló and in Villány-siklós. Altogether it’s grown in 3000 hectares.
